Living the Colombian Safari from March 25 to 30, 2024 was a truly remarkable experience. This time, we explored the vast landscapes of Reserva La Aurora alongside our friends @jennamercurio, @krazy4bugz, and @kristiinnnnnnn from the United States. Our adventure offered an in-depth look at the unique culture of Colombia’s plains, from its rich gastronomy to its characteristic wildlife.
Highlights of the Safari
One of the most memorable aspects of this trip was the wonderful company. Together, we explored Colombia’s diverse ecosystems, spotting incredible wildlife and immersing ourselves in the beauty of the plains.
We had the amazing opportunity to see up to 120 bird species and even came across jaguar and puma tracks! Our sightings included an impressive array of animals like foxes, tamanduas, deer, caimans, Orinoco crocodiles, howler monkeys, and even anacondas. Each encounter reminded us of the incredible biodiversity that makes Colombia so unique.
Accommodation and Service
Our stay at Hato La Aurora was nothing short of fantastic. The reserve's hospitality shone through every detail: from the delicious meals that fueled our wildlife excursions to the dedicated guides who made sure we had every opportunity to capture amazing photos and videos. Their patience and expertise enriched the experience immensely.
Final Thoughts
Colombia is truly a paradise, offering stunning biodiversity at every turn. We are excited to share a short documentary soon, capturing the essence of our stay and the beauty of this remarkable region.
Thank you all for the support!
